British architect John Pawson is known for his rigorously simple architecture, practiced for over thirty years. Pawson focuses on the essence of space, fundamental design, and modesty in character. Buildings and product design are approached in the same manner: on the basis that “it’s all architecture.” Pawson’s product work spans a range of monastic tableware, stainless steel flatware, bronze and marble hurricanes, and wooden trays.
